Trouble after a year, be aware...
I purchased in October 2019 the 1400 pockets Restassured Ortho Mattress which they have now substitute with this 1400 Restassured Mattress. I didn’t want to buy the Silentnight brand as I always read the BAD reviews first so that I can asses if there is a common issue with the item, and recently Silentnight products are not doing great for quality standards. However, ignorant I was when I decided to purchase this “Restassured” Mattress as I didn’t know it is a Silentnight products and if you have any issues you have to contact them instead.... firstly I don’t like to buy a product from a company to then be told to contact another to fix the problem, but despite this, the response from Restassured Customer Service Advicer was prompt and they were very pleasant to deal with and went the extra mile to help after over a month of chasing Silentnight for a response back. I purchased the item in Oct 2019 and by August 2020 already started to show signs of failure as it started to sink where our bodies lay when we sleep. The reasons I went fror POCKETS mattress this time was because my previous memoryfoam sank terribly causing us backache. I didn’t want to leave a review upon purchase as I received almost immediately an email encouraging me to review the product, I wanted to test this mattress for a couple of years before reviewing it, as on the product description stated ‘5 years of WARRANRY’ but after Restassured Customer Service Advicer decided to escalated and contact the manager at Silentnight, I received an email back from them stating that they will be happy to substitute the mattress but I have to pay pounds 50.40 for delivery and 30 to take away my defected one. Basically after filling a form and sending them pictures of the sank mattress they they say is not easy to tell if is a manufacturing fault or materials?!? Then they say ‘ the further you get from the purchase date the more other factors can affect the performance?!? I am absolutely disgusted! They promise you quality and a certain standard, they fail, they blame anything and anyone else apart from taking responsibilities for they rubbish products and even ask you to pay an extortion if you want a replacement AND they make it sounds like “a gesture of good will”. Silentnight you have really reached the bottom. this is it for me and any member of my family , and I will make sure they all know about this! PS NO thanks! you can keep your ‘near equivalent’ mattress as I wouldn’t even accept it for free! GOOD BYE!
