Used mattresses affect bed rest

28/12/2011

When you decide it is time to replace your mattress, one thing not to be considered is a second-hand one. You have no way of knowing the age of the mattresses or of the treatment they have been subjected to. There is the possibility of them being full of dust mites or bed bugs, both of which affect the quality of your sleep and your health.

Whether the mattress is memory foam or open coil, they will be moulded into the body shape of the previous owner causing you difficulty in getting comfortable. Your body will be deprived of the support it needs and you are likely to wake up with a variety of aches and pains. Investing in a new mattress will not only ensure that you have one suited to your needs, but it will last for many years.
