Sleep, The Most Important Meal Of The Day

15/07/2010

A recent article has compared sleep to breakfast, in terms of its importance on setting us up for the day.

The Western Mail's Claire Rees claims "it would be good if we could get it right more often", because hardly anyone is able to fit in the recommended eight hours of sleep each night.

Rees went on to say that people are prone to doing odd things while asleep, and she herself admitted to finding herself in one or two strange circumstances.

She said: "For years, I'd 'wake' to find things in my room that weren't really there - people, cats, you name it, they'd all join my bedroom party."

These are not the only odd situations, which included awaking and not knowing who or where she was.

Travelodge, the budget hotel chain, recently conducted a study that picked out July as the month when people were at their grumpiest, largely due to a difficulty with sleeping.
