The hotel chain Premier Inn issued results from a survey that people who sleep on the left are likely to be less stressed and happier than those who sleep on the right hand of the bed. The survey polled over 3,000 adults and concluded that left hand sleepers were more capable handling heavy workloads, were more positive about the future and generally happier. Of those polled only 18 per cent of right hand sleepers said they had a bright outlook on life, compared to the 25 per cent of lefties. The Premier Inn spokeswoman, Claire Haigh said that there is a connection between how positive you are in life and the side of bed you sleep on. She added that there could be some truth in the old saying about getting out of bed on the wrong side, that sleeping on a particular side of the bed was a habit and changing could sides could feel a little strange.
