School urges parents not to wear PJs during school run

13/06/2011

A school in Middlesbrough has recently issued warnings to parents who wear their pyjamas while dropping off and picking up their children.

Pallister Park Primary School has seen an unexplained rise in the number of parents dressed in pyjamas dropping their kids off at school.

It has become such a problem that the school’s Head, Chris Wain, has been forced to issue a letter, requesting all parents to refrain from dropping off and picking up their children wearing their bedtime clothes: "What we were seeing was people staying in their pyjamas all day. They were dropping their children off in the morning and collecting them in the afternoon wearing the same pyjamas."

The need for the request was not explicitly stated, however, one can speculate that parents wearing pyjamas while collecting and dropping off their kids does not give off an impression of alertness and willingness to study.
