Kids 'should be involved in bed design'

05/07/2010

Youngsters should be given the chance to contribute by their elders when it comes to decorating their bedrooms, commentators have suggested.

According to the Creston News Advertiser, children can be encouraged to help choose colours and themes.

The article also said children may want a bedroom to reflect a hobby, and allowing them to get involved will give them ownership of the space.

It also stated youngsters are likely to have clear feelings about what they want their beds to be like, so they should be given the chance to contribute.

It added: "As a parent, you want to be sure her bed is comfortable and practical - essential factors if she's going to get a good night's sleep in it. And adequate rest is a must for all kids."

The design expert Marc Atiyolil has told Canada.com colour is one of the most important aspects when looking to put together a new bedroom.
