Four legged friends can bed down at B&B

06/07/2010

An unusual type of guest is being invited to stay for the night at a Welsh B&B - trusted steeds belonging to guests.

The recently-refurbished Sheeleys is offering horses beds and other facilities, according to the South Wales Echo.

Four-legged guests get bedding and refreshments, also on offer to human visitors.

Owner of Sheepleys, Wendy Bolter said: "The Vale [of Glamorgan] isn't currently recognised as a place to take horses on holiday but Im hoping I can go some way towards changing that perception."

She added riders and horses can stay at the guest house before heading off to enjoy the area's bridleways.

Some hotels recently invited guests to bring their own pillows if visitors fear theirs may not be comfortable enough.
