No doubt a great many of you have decided 2012 is the year you will get fit, but just as important as exercise is rest one expert says. Charlotte Watts, nutritional therapist and yoga teacher from de-stressyourlife.com, explained that after a hard workout everyone needs to take some time to relax. She added that when we relax the body recovers, the stress hormones are able to decrease, the body heals and recuperates the brain cells and muscles. Ms Watts pointed out that it is very difficult for your body to run at a high level constantly, so it is very beneficial if you go to bed and relax for a while. The expert, co-author of De-Stress Diet along with Anna Magee, highlighted that one of the best ways to keep fit is spontaneous movement, as this helps to keep the stress hormones at a low level.
