Don't let cold affect you in bed this winter

28/12/2011

Although it is not so easy to stay warm during the winter season, there are a number of things you can do to keep warm when temperatures fall. When the weather gets cold, a good option is to go to bed and keep snug by curling up, which many of you will be hoping to do. A good idea is to make your bedroom as cosy as possible as this reduce the need of heating being switched on, while helping you sleep well.

Once you are in bed, it can be a problem maintaining a comfortable temperature, but it can be achieved in a number of ways. If you suffer from cold feet then a hot water bottle is the ideal solution. Another solution is to wear a pair of bed socks. A fleecy under blanket recommended by the Sleep Council, as it retains the heat. Another good idea is rather than have just one duvet, have several layers of bedding as this will create a thermal layer.
