The study, conducted by the Prince’s Trust, found that 25 per cent of young people between the ages of 16 and 25 had no regular bedtime as they were growing up. It also found that compared to those with a strict routine, the ones with no set structure were twice as likely to have poor exam grades. It is often emphasised that when it comes to children, a good bedtime routine is necessary, and from an early age instilling good habits. Dr Richard Woolfson, a child psychologist recently said that even during school vacations or special events it was important that children keep to their bedtime routine. He added that there could be problems later in life if the routine was not followed.
