A woman from Milwaukee has declared herself unhappy with a second-hand mattress purchase from the Salvation Army after ending up covered in bites.Fox6Now reported Jodi Hoffman had even taken the critters out of the bed and into the bath."I called my friend in and said 'look, I feel like something's crawling on me'. He didn't see anything, but then I drained the bathtub and there were bugs crawling all over the bottom of the bathtub," she said. The Journal of Proteome Research published a report this year suggesting a protein in bed bug saliva could cause allergic reactions in some people.Experts have also said enzymes in the saliva could even be used as a desensitisation vaccine, and therefore be useful in medical treatments.
