An Australian man is trying to raise funds for charity through a rather ingenious method, inspired by dominoes, but involving mattresses . This will be a Guinness World Record attempt. In the hopes of lining up 550 mattresses, which will topple, one into the other, Rob Bauer aims to beat the current world record of 500 mattresses , which is held by Sweden. Spectators are expected to turn up to the attempt, which will take place on July 17th and is scheduled for 06:00, local time, in Bundaberg, Australia, according to the Central Telegraph. This is by no means the first attempt of its kind, as last year in Newcastle, 400 people fell into each other with cushioning from a mattress. Bauer has encouraged spectators to bring mattresses along with them, as long as they adhere to certain measurements. The direction about measurements is designed to prevent accidental or injury should the mattresses not quite fall into the desired place.
