The £10 million London home of Madonna has been broken into by a 30 year-old man who admitted the offence saying that he had touched the star’s bed and rifled through her bedclothes. The burglar set off an intruder alarm that alerted the singer’s security guards, but he managed to escape. He hid himself in a cupboard until the panic had died down and then entered Madonna’s bedrooms and disturbed the bedclothes. When he was arrested by police, he was found to be in possession of a map that accurately showed the location of the 52 years old singer’s home, which was his reason for travelling to Britain from his native country. When he appeared before the magistrate at Southwark crown court, he pleaded guilty to the charge of burglary and further admitted stealing a can of Red Bull. Another two burglaries to properties were left open and the court ordered a psychiatric report before passing sentence.
