Premier Inn has appointed a new bed bouncing director as part of their campaign to ensure its rooms are comfortable enough for their guests. Natalie Thomas was chosen after impressing with her attention to detail and she will be responsible for doing a six monthly assessment of the hotel chain’s 46,000 beds to check that they meet the standards set out for the guests. The 39-year-old has been chosen for this new position due to the fact she can detect the smallest of lumps or bumps in a mattress. Ms. Thomas said she has an great team of ‘bed bouncers’ who worked with her testing every part of a bed, before testing how comfortable it is for sleeping on. As the new director of bouncing, Ms Thomas will visit each of the 602 Premier Inns which will require her to travel thousands of miles every year. Natalie and her team of bouncers started testing at the start of the month and so far have tested 7,200 mattresses. They plan to have the task completed by the end of February 2012.
