In order to create a stylish home this summer, people must pay attention to some key items and design pointers, says a leading expert in interior design.

In an article for Yourhome.ca, interior design expert Tara Dalla-Nora said that a fresh floral print with a graphic twist was key, especially when it comes to pillows, this summer.

She stated that a contemporary, gender neutral style can be achieved using a neutral colour scheme and a graphic print, going on to say "It is also more versatile, and can be paired with bolder colours and patterns in a living room or toned down for a softer look in the bedroom."

In order to complement the bed with other furniture, the recommendation from Yourhome.ca was to create a clean attractive, retro look with white chairs in the bedroom.

According to a recent survey by Sound Asleep, respondents from the North East of England admitted to only buying new bed clothes every ten years and flipping their mattresses only rarely, making them the owners of the dirtiest bedding in England.

People from the north-east of England were recently identified as having the dirtiest bedding, with 69 per cent of respondents to a recent survey by Sound Asleep admitting to buying new pillows and duvets every ten years and rarely flipping their mattresses.
