Nautical is in for this season's bed linen

A new report by the Times has suggested that window treatments and bedding are crucial to the general ambience of a bedroom's new-look.

The national newspaper added that the likes of curtains and blinds are moving towards a maritime theme, with a swathe of "fresh nautical stripes" which can give off a feel of the sea, while a great shade to use is standard navy, providing you add some stylish accessories, such as metal eyelets.

And a similar wave of change is to affect mattress coverings, as anchor designs and similar are becoming popular, especially on cushions.
As well, using "psychedelic paisleys and tropical florals" may not be "a look for the faint-hearted", although the Times still believes that it is "fabulous".

Designers on the internet have been given the backing of the Denver Post's Matt Locke, a Colorado native from HGTV's Design Star in Canada and the US, who said that anyone short on ideas regarding interior design.
