Experts have said the age-old problem of not enough household storage space can be solved with a bed base.In a piece on the V-Blog, the benefits of storage beds, including the classic divan with drawers underneath, were highlighted although newer versions are becoming popular.These include a new style which features a leather bed with full lift-up features, allowing the whole mattress to raise and give access to a considerable storage space.The post read: "They take the necessity of bedroom storage and make it trendy, intelligent and most importantly of all, comfortable, with a smooth style that will become the focal point of your room."Such designs typically involve a hydraulic arm so users can lift the mattress with ease and get to the space underneath to add or remove items.A recent Associated Press article said pillows are one way to add colour and vibrancy to a mattress, adding lamps and throws can also bring a new look to a bedroom.
