Justin Bieber may be a teenage mega-star with millions of dollars in the bank, but his life was not always so glamorous: according to the Sun in Canada, the 17-year-old didn’t even have a proper children’s bed when he was growing up. As part of an interview with the publication, Bieber said: "We had mousetraps everywhere because there were mouses - uh, mice - in the house. I didn't have a real bed. I slept on a blue pull-out couch in my room." The teenage pop sensation also said his family’s house was “really dirty” and that he felt he would be a convincing Oliver Twist were he to be offered the role in a stage version of the classic Dickens novel. Bieber said he identified with Oliver, who undergoes a transformation from a poverty-stricken orphan to a wealthy middle class child with a caring benefactor. It seems Bieber’s bed-related problems are not entirely over: in recent days, the singer had to check out of a hotel in Liverpool after two fans got into his rooms and took photos of his personal belongings.
