A sleep expert has said distractions need to be kept out of the bedroom if people are to get a good night's sleep.Dr Luisa Dilner spoke to the Guardian and said people should look to drift off within 20 to 30 minutes of getting into bed.She said things like televisions, work and other gadgets should be kept out of the room to ensure a smooth transition to the land of nod.She said: "Have a wind-down routine. Go to bed at roughly the same time each evening - try a bath first to relax and listen to soothing music. Get up at the same time each morning."Last month the Daily Mail pointed out how insomnia can apparently affect people of all ages, reporting the case of Jess Tinsley, a four-year-old who wakes at the same time each night and can't sleep more than five hours.
