The Manchester United player spoke to the Sun and said he can only drift off when there is a constant noise in the background.The player said he often needs something like a fan going in the room for him to catch a consistent doze.He said: "If I'm staying in a hotel or I'm sleeping on my own I have the hairdryer on," adding he was unsure why he needed such noises to get to sleep.Rooney even said he is known to lie on the floor while flying long-haul so he can get to sleep while listening to the engine sounds.The forward is seen as a key player for England during this summer's world cup in South Africa, having been the nation's top scorer in qualifying.
