Those looking for the perfect bed and mattress could take advice from a person likely to be in the know - the official bed tester for Premier Inn.The Financial Times reports this lucky person, whose official title is product manager, spends much of her time trying out the bedsteads and pillows used by the hotel company.According to the paper, her tactics include bouncing up and down on mattresses, lying down to check for comfort and generally ensuring there are no faults and trying linen.The expert says one of the toughest things is finding a bed that everyone can get comfortable enough to sleep on.For this she employs an assistant - "a burly male colleague".According to the paper, she added: "I lie on one side of the mattress and he lies on the other. If we drop off to sleep, the bed is clearly a winner."The company has more than 580 hotels across the UK and Ireland.
