As children grow, so should their beds and bedrooms

30/09/2011

It is not easy decorating children’s bedrooms, as it seems that one day they are children and the next they are teenagers. Christina Vercelletto, senior editor of Parenting magazine, said that it is tough on parents as they have to choose the best bed for their children as well as the best colour to decorate the room. She told yourhome.ca that for many parents, the choice is based on the impact it will make and the amount of money spent.

She added that parents should never create a custom-painted mural as the children will quickly grow out of that period and it will be painful to remove when that happens. It is also recommended that parents do not use too many colours as this can make the room appear cluttered. Ms Vercelletto recommended adding some toys as well as other items that will give the bedroom some colour.
