Q: Tesco stock the Ortho 1000 as the 'adlington', but Argos stock the Ortho 1000 as the 'hartwell' can you tell me what the difference is between these two mattresses? Question from Kay Norman
The Adlington and Hartwell are very similar products, although the Hartwell is fractionally deeper than the Adlington at 25cm compared to 23cm.
The Adlington has fewer rows of side stitching compared to the Hartwell. The more side stitching the more robust the mattress is, as the side stitching prevents the pocket springs from bulging out at the border edge.
Both mattresses are tufted for a firmer feel.
