We purchased a 4' sophia 1000 pocket classic divan set last year as our spare bed. Having slept on it it feels alot more firmer than our normal bed which is a Rest Assured apollo 1000. We were led to believe that the sophia was the same firmness as the apollo, thats why we bought it. Perhaps you could clarify this as we are thinking about buying another Rest Assured mattress but it needs to be nice and soft like the apollo.

Comfort is very subjective and some people are more sensitive to the different feels than others.

We don't manufacture the Apollo anymore but we have kept a range of Pocket 1000 Classic mattresses.    These include the Haven, Lilliput, Lydenburg and Star.

Our suggestion would be that you visit your nearest retailer and try these beds for yourself.  You will need to lie on them for at least 10 mins to get any indication as to whether or not one of them has the same/similar feel to your existing mattress.  You should also bear in mind that the fillings in your existing mattress will have settled since you originally purchased it so any new mattress will feel slightly different and may take a little time to get use to.

You should also consider the base that you are putting the mattress on.  Always remember that a ‘bed’ is a mattress and a base working together, you should not consider them in isolation and should ideally always try them together.  We always recommend you buy them together because the two are designed and manufactured to compliment one another in terms of support.

Generally, the rule is, if your base is firm, choose a softer mattress and if your base is soft, choose a firmer mattress, to achieve a medium feel sleeping comfort
