I am an elderly person suffering with severe lower lumber pains and also leg pains. At present I have an adjustable bed and a 7.inch Memory Foam mattress which is useless and too hard. I am lying in a practically rigid position on this, in spite of the fact that there is over it a good quality Mattress Topper. Have also tried 'Tempur' and several other mattresses (none of which have proved helpful). I feel I need an EXTREMELY SOFT mattress where it will be possible to 'sink into' and which easily gives way to one's contour. (Perhaps a mattress with a similar feel to a water bed). If you could please be of any help, I would be most grateful. I live between Newcastle upon Tyne and Hexham and if you could please provide a suitable stockist which is not too far away as I am partially disabled, I certainly would appreciate it. Thank you. 5.6.2011

Whilst we can't give medical advice, if you are looking for a softer feeling bed, you may prefer the feel of latex, which has an instant bounce to it so allows easy movement. Also, the less springs that there are in a bed, the softer the feel.

Therefore I would recommend you try a Pocket 1000 Latex.  Alternatively, the Sanctuary 2400 Latex with an extra layer of mini springs has a luxurious feel that will really support your shape.

The best advice we can give is that you go into a store and try a few beds for yourself as comfort is very subjective, this would be particularly important for you as you have special requirements.
