I have always had rest assured mattresses and have turned them on a regular basis which has meant they have lasted for a long time! I am now looking for a new mattress, not there is anything wrong with the one I have, due to having a kingsize bed instead of a double. Having looked at various rest assured mattress I am down to the Adlington and the Royal Ortho that Tesco are selling. My question is that they both say they do not need turning so does this mean that they are one sided and you cannot turn them or that there is no need to or is it both? I would have thought that not turning a mattress would shorten its life. Also please could you advise the difference between the Adlington and the Royal Ortho. I currently have the Sapphire Ortho will they be similar in firmness? thanks

The Rest Assured mattresses are easy-care no-turn and only have a single sided sleeping surface.  You should, however, still rotate these mattresses from top to bottom to ensure even settlement.  Single sided mattresses are not a detrement to the expected lifetime of the mattress.

The Adlington is available with memory foam or latex for a luxurious feel.  The Royal Ortho will have a firmer feel to either of these two.  As you existing mattress is an Ortho this would also have been more firm that others in the range at the time.
