I am interested in purchasing a super king size bed and mattress (divan) for about £1000. I weigh 17.5 stone (6 foot 5 inches) and my wife about 14.5 stone (5 foot 5 inches). The king size bed we have now is too firm. What do you recommend? Where can I try one out? Why is yours the best?

As a general rule of thumb, a bed should be around 10cm (4”) longer than the tallest person sleeping in the bed to allow plenty of leg room.  The maximum length of our beds is 200cm (approx 6'6") this falls short of your requriements.

Your combined weight also exceeds our recommended maximum, therefore, we would not suggest that you purchase one of our products but source a mattress from a specialist who could make one to suit not only your weight but the extra length also.
